The timeless vintage look seems set to stay in again for 2009. "Lets play" is a move on from the Retro Kitschy look that has been prevalent in recent years. It is Bold, Contemporary and Fun, perfectfor a colour injected room. It could almost be considered an immature in it's essence, but that is its intension. It's playful nature may be overpowering & make a bold statement, so be careful where you use it. Bright and bold colours are key in this modern interpretation of the folk classic.

"Lets Play" would be as well suited to a lounge bar, as it would be for ares used by young children and areas of inspiration like offices and studies. The outrageous geometric shapes are a great area to add some humor and personality to your space.
As you can see from the colour palette below, Lets Play can use pretty much any colour you can think of, as long as its bright and bold! The more vibrant the colour, the better. Our favourites are General Lee Orange and Kawasaki Green as there 'cool' colours to use at the moment.
For wall art, like Timeless Curve, have a look in the retro art section for some really bright colours and simple patterns to really add to the room.

For furniture, you need to go with either bright colours again, or tone it down slightly with some black or white furniture. Try checking out Furniture Auction houses, or Kitschy Retro on-line stores for playful furniture to complete the eclectic look. Don't be scared to mix and match, it's what it's all about! Vintage 1960's rugs are another way of adding some playful patterns into the room, and lets not forget a decent piece of canvas art! If you want to accessories, 1960's light shades are very hip or you could even try an original Rotary Dial Telephone from the 80's to complete the look.
Where as with the flooring, bright colours work well, especially on industrial style 'plastic' flooring (like you'd seen in a garage)
