Photo2Popart: The Design Process Explained

Our Photo2popart service has grown to be one of the most popular bespoke art products that we offer. The concept is simple:  We create a piece of art from your photo or image.   All art is all designed in-house by one of our highly skilled artists, we also print, stretch & frame at our studio in Leicester for the ultimate in fast turnarounds. Photo2popart is great for treating yourself or family, as much as it is perfect for gifts. Anything can be used as subject matter, from dogs, cars, holidays, bikes just good old people, we first take your photo, airbrush the background out and minimise the colours. We then email you over an initial proof within 24 hours. The whole design process can take from 2 days + the result is always a seriously bold piece of artwork, unique to yourself. In the event that you are not happy with the artwork, the service is fully refundable, although this has not happened yet....!

Step One:

First of all we check of your artwork. Generally, the higher quality the artwork, the more detail you will get in your print. We advise that the file should be at least 100k, although we have been known to work with less. So, we initially produce a Pop Art draft of your photo. We normally white out the background, to bring more attention to the figures in the picture.

Step Two: Once we have painted out the background, we will render a draft of your photograph in a Pop Art style. You will receive this first proof via email, in black & white initinally. You get to decide about the cropping and composition - If you want any modifications, Let us know through email and we will change the illustration according to your wishes. Step Three: Once you have specified the alterations e.g. to change the crop, we will go away and make these changes. Once you are happy with the overall composition (layout), we begin to colour your Pop Art in your chosen colour scheme, or we could easily leave it in the classic black and white colour scheme if preferred. Step Four: We will work on the design and make colour alterations as requested. Once you are happy with the finished piece, we produce the print of your one-off personal design, and deliver it as quick as possible.
