Lee has devoted most of his adult working life as a welder and a sheet metal worker. He became fascinated with the unique qualities & strength that each type of metal has, as has come into contact with most types of metal in his field. Lee's real passion however lies with polished stainless steel, explainging that "it always had an attraction to me because of how reflective it is, with the different types of polishing effects you can produce. I have always liked modern art and when i was asked to help design and make stainless steel products for a nightclub interior about 6 years ago, i was allowed to express myself and create what i wanted, which led me to produce some of my early pieces. I love abstract art in most of its forms especially pictures or wall hangings and these are my take on that." Lee also works with steel, aluminium, brass, copper, titanium but his preference is always stainless steel - because of the superior polishing qualities & longevity. In his own words, "I am my own worst critic so the pieces take a while to get right until i am entirely satisfied that i would be happy to hang it on a wall of my own."
